A mom about to set her children free... all over my back yard.
The likely culprit behind the removal and subsequent bulb-eating of all the crocosmia in my back yard.
Plenty of pink
And Husband loves me because he got me a Vermicomposter for Mother's Day from Down to Earth in Eugene. I've been silently eying the thing for years but I didn't feel I should spend the money on it. But Husband did it for me. I'd never told him I wanted one, but the boy can read me. Thanks, honey.

you got a worm house, and i got truck-load of mulch. we are lucky duckies!
how are you feeling?
We are! I got the worm house all ready for worms. I saw worms for sale at Al's Garden Center so I'll probably go down tomorrow and get myself of pound of them.
I've gotten compost for my birthday before, and loved it. You can tell we're gardeners...
I'm feeling better, although I'd like to feel even more better. I need to be patient with this. I still have some tenderness and swelling around the lymph node. I never wanted to see or feel any of my lymph nodes, and now I'm face to node with it all day long. From what I've heard, I might be wearing it for awhile...
It's a good thing that squirrels are so cute! I excitedly planted two kinds of neat bulb plants in the back yard in the shady area. They came up the first year and looked great. And that was it. I know who finished them off--the squirrels. They don't know how lucky they are that I love them. I even feed them so they will stay around. They are rotten and eat your bulbs, but they are so darn cute you have to love them.
Dad
I was mad for about thirty seconds, and then I decided there was no reason. I made some squirrels happy, and I endured no real hardship!
Here's to you, nosy rodent friends...
